On Tuesday 28th March, the Bolton Hospice £50 Challenge launch night took place at the Wellbeing Hub at the Hospice. As the main sponsor of this event, we were invited along to share our story. Angela Dougill (L & D Manager) represented Stateside Foods and presented the £50 cheques to the many teams who had signed up for the challenge! The challenge will commence on 1st April and run until the end of June.
Our apprentice £50 challenge has got off to a flying start with a guess the sweet challenge. There were over 150 guesses and the lucky winner was Gaynor Newnes who correctly guessed the right amount!
On Wednesday 29th March, the Apprentices organised and took part in the first community litter pick of 2023 as part of the £50 challenge. The volunteers headed out into the community and collected 32 bags of rubbish. For every bag collected Stateside donated £10 to the £50 challenge and The Christie. £320 was donated to each cause. It was great to get back out into the community whilst raising money for charity! Our next community litter pick will take place on 24th May.
As part of the £50 challenge, the apprentices have organised a 5 a side charity football match at Bolton Arena taking place on Saturday 27th May.
