On Wednesday 8th March, Stateside Foods celebrated International Women’s Day by running a selection of wellbeing courses for our colleagues to engage in which were delivered by Jo from Health Assured on the topics: Menopause and Mental Health. These sessions were friendly and informative and well received by our colleagues who attended.
At Bolton FM, Heather (Head of People) was joined by Lucy and Jemma, two of our 1st year apprentices, who spoke about their operational roles within food manufacturing and how they are flying the flag for females in what was traditionally seen to be a ‘man’s job’. They also spoke about our engineering apprenticeships and inspired ladies to consider roles in engineering.
We also launched a raffle to raise money for Fortalice. Fortalice are a Bolton based charity providing frontline services for people who are, or have been, affected by domestic abuse and violence. We drew the raffle on Wednesday 15th March and our colleagues generosity helped to raise an amazing £1110 for Fortalice!
