Coast to Coast Challenge for Grocery Aid

Grocery Aid’s Coast to Coast challenge returned to Wales on 22nd July and Stateside Foods’ Head of Sales, Phil Goodall couldn’t wait to get on his bike to support our industry’s charity. Covering 368km over three days, the ride took riders from North to South Wales passing through Snowdonia National Park and the Brecon Beacons, finishing in Cardiff.

With stunning scenery and impressive climbs, this challenge featured 5,505m of climbs across the route.

The Challenge

Thursday: Cycle Caernarfon to Aberystwyth – 139km with 1,683m elevation

Friday: Cycle Aberystwyth to Brecon – 109km with 1,971m elevation

Saturday: Cycle Brecon to Cardiff – 120km with 1,851m elevation.

Grocery Aid provide emotional, practical and financial support for grocery people when they need it the most.

Thanks to donations from colleagues at Stateside Foods and Freiberger UK, friends, family, and Stateside’s match-funding scheme, Phil has raised well over £1000 for the charity.

If you would like to support Phil, you can still donate on his Just Giving page.

Well done Phil, and thank you to all of his supporters!
